Privacy Policy

IPPI Therapy is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information responsibly, confidentially and in accordance with applicable Ontario privacy law and professional obligations.

Information collected through this website

This website is designed to collect as little personal information as reasonably possible. When you visit the website, basic technical information—such as your IP address, browser type, device type and pages visited—may be processed automatically to operate, secure and improve the website.

Booking and clinical information

IPPI Therapy uses Jane, a secure practice-management platform, for appointment booking, intake and consent forms, payment administration and clinical records. Information submitted through Jane is handled in accordance with Jane’s privacy practices and IPPI Therapy’s professional and legal obligations. Please do not submit personal health information through ordinary website forms.

How your information is used

Personal information is collected and used only for purposes reasonably connected with providing and administering services, including responding to inquiries, scheduling appointments, delivering care, maintaining clinical and financial records, processing payments, meeting legal and professional obligations, and protecting the security of the practice.

Consent and confidentiality

Client information is treated as confidential. It will not be used or disclosed without consent except where permitted or required by law, including circumstances involving an immediate risk of serious harm, suspected abuse or neglect where reporting is legally required, a court order, or another applicable legal obligation. The limits of confidentiality will also be reviewed as part of the informed-consent process.

Email and electronic communication

Email may be used for general administrative communication, but it is not fully secure and should not be used to send sensitive personal health information. Email and website messages are not monitored continuously and must not be used for urgent concerns or crisis communication.

Service providers

IPPI Therapy may use trusted service providers for website hosting, appointment management, electronic communication, payment processing and other administrative functions. These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services and are expected to protect it through appropriate privacy and security safeguards.

Storage and retention

Personal and clinical information is protected using reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards. Records are retained only for as long as required to provide services and satisfy applicable legal, regulatory, insurance and professional record-retention obligations, after which they are securely destroyed or anonymized.

Access and correction

Subject to limited exceptions permitted by law, clients may request access to their personal information or ask that inaccurate or incomplete information be corrected. Identity may need to be verified before a request can be completed.

Privacy questions and concerns

Questions, access or correction requests, and privacy concerns may be directed to IPPI Therapy using the contact information provided on this website. Concerns will be reviewed and addressed as promptly as reasonably possible.

Urgent and crisis situations

This website, email and online booking system are not emergency or crisis services. If you are in immediate danger or require urgent assistance, call 911, go to the nearest emergency department, or contact an appropriate crisis service in your area.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in the practice, its service providers, professional requirements or applicable law. The date shown above identifies the most recent revision.
